In the course of representing clients in immigration and nationality matters Edwin R. Rubin, Attorney at Law receives personal, financial and other information from clients. In addition we may assemble and maintain information relating to the services provided. The information that Edwin R. Rubin, Attorney at Law  may assemble and maintain may be obtained from the client, created as a result of the services provided, or received from third parties. If you were, are or become a client of Edwin R. Rubin, Attorney at Law, you should know that all information that our firm receives from a client is held in confidence and is not released to people outside the firm, except as agreed to by the client, or as allowed or required under applicable law and the Rules of Professional Conduct governing the provision of legal services. Our firm will retain records relating to the services provided so that I will be better able to assist clients with their needs, and in some cases, to comply with professional standards. In order to protect client’s nonpublic personal information or the nonpublic information of business entities, Edwin R. Rubin maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with professional standards. Under the New Jersey Rules of Professional Conduct, we maintain files for at least seven years or completion of the matter for which I was retained, whichever is longer. Thereafter, those files may be purged.
